>>With WPF you may want to consider a study of the MVVM pattern. There are some pretty good resources out there for this and the binding will be a bit different but can be done easily within the Xaml. I am anxiously awaiting the full book by Gary Hall regarding WPF & Silverlight with MVVM. I currently have the first 5 chapters but it addresses this pattern directly.

The jump start assumes you will do this with Expression and you do not have it. Therefore you can't follow it precisely. You could download the trial edition of Expression blend as Craig mentioned and follow the jump start to get you up to speed if you wish.

One thing to consider is MM is a business object library and an application framework but they are not a controls library. What I mean by this; you can utilize MM for your application and use the business object without consideration for a specific model or method of binding. I am working my way through a new application using MM and the mm business objects but implementing the MVVM model which impacts the way controls are bound. Binding in WPF is the same with or without MM so this part is not that relevant.

I would download the trial of expression blend so you can get your feet wet by following the jump starts and understanding the overall WPF ideas. Then find some resources on MVVM and study this pattern as it will serve you well not as a replacement for MM but to enhance your overall application model.
