>Sybase used to be the name of the company before SAP purchased Sybase. They have several databases including Adaptive Server Enterprise, Advantage Database Server, and SQL Anywhere. Adaptive Server Enterprise is where MS Sql Server got its roots. Version 4.01B was a port from Sybase Sql server before Sybase changed the database name to Adaptive Server Enterprise. Sql Anywhere was originally Watcom. Ianywhere purchased Watcom and then Sybase purchased Ianywhere.
