I found this.
Imports iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere
using iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere;
iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.SAConnection
conn = new iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.SAConnection()
Download the developer edition and install it. No problem having Sql Anywhere and Ms Sql installed on the same computer. Looks like you can only get version 11 and 12 though. It is very easy to run the server on your own computer and it might make what you are doing very easy. The only issue you might have is once you find out how easy it is to use you will want to dump Ms Sql gd&r.
>>Yes. Somewhere they should have their .NET client for you to install which will put those in your GAC.

>>I have to do essentially the same thing for Oracle and IBM DB2. My guess is Sybase doesn't try to be as complete a PITA as Oracle or IBM about getting it properly installed.

http://www.sybase.fr/products/databasemanagement/advantagedatabaseserver/net-data-provider and click on Download, we are being prompted to download the server instead. So, it is quite confusing. I do not want to install the server. I am with them on phone right now.
