Whoops indeed. So much for "the undefeated Cleveland Browns" who somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory losing to the Buca-frakkin-neers after being up 14-3.

Given that Delhomme threw some critical picks the messageboards at Cleveland.com are gonna be ugly.

Just settling in now to watch my Tivo-delayed Packers-Eagles ( nice day outside - needed a serious bike ride in between)

>>Preach it, brother ! In about another hour I will be able to say "The undefeated Cleveland Browns!" <bg> ( Pittsburgh / Atlanta is a bit of a snore )

>It was a wild end to the Bears-Lions game. The Bears scored a late touchdown to take the lead, then Detroit drove down the field with time winding out. They completed what looked like a game winning touchdown pass. It was overruled because the receiver did not maintain possession of the ball until Thursday. He caught it in the end zone, came to the ground, and spun up, all with the ball in one hand. Then he placed it to the ground and it squirted loose. The ruling was he did not complete the play. Of course I liked the outcome but think the Lions got screwed.

>Not a good omen when you need the help of a call to beat the Lions at home.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
