>What a great weekend...first ,my beloved Oregon Ducks wipe out the Vols on Saturday, and have the nation's #1 rated offense after 2 games.

>Second, I almost couldn't ask for more...Favre loses, the Eagles lose, and Dallas is about to frame another failure!!!

>Stay tuned for NFL week in review from Swami Jr late tomorrow night, as he types from a fancy hotel room in Manhattan (right after KC wipes out San Diego). :)

>(And Charles, if you're reading....send an email to Eric Magini and tell him the key to success is NOT LETTING JAKE DELHOMME PASS THE BALL!!!)

I didn't watch the game but was delighted to see on espn.com this morning that the Cowboys played like crap and lost to the Redskins. It doesn't get much better than that. Here's hoping it doesn't fire them up too much because the Bears go down there next Sunday.

The Browns are not a team I follow closely, to say the least, but I was mystified when they named Jake Delhomme their starting quarterback. Brady Quinn must be worse than I thought. When you're a down team you invest in the future, and Jake Delhomme is not the future.

Speaking of ex-Panthers, Julius Peppers sure looked like a guy worth $90 million in his Bears debut yesterday. He is a freak of nature, a huge guy who can fly. There was a great anecdote from Bears training camp. Devin Hester, who everyone knows can fly, was doing an out route. He turned around for the ball and there was Peppers right next to him. Hester was like, What are you doing here, big man? I'm sure you remember he was a pretty good basketball player at North Carolina.

Why Oregon? I kinda like them, too, probably because of their uniforms.

Have a good trip to New York.
