I do not blindly trust everything about Obama. I still think his biggest problem has been relentless opposition from the other party but he has not yet been the President I thought he would be.

Trust, though -- yes, I do trust him. I don't think he has been lying to us. Telling us more truth than we are comfortable with, if anything. These are truly rotten times and we aren't out of it yet. A headline in The Onion got it just about right: "Black man given nation's worst job."

>So you can say this, but can also say that you blindly trust everything about Obama? Seems inconsistent....

>>John, please check the citations I posted. I don't believe there was a cross-fire or even a battle. He was assassinated.

>>>He may have gotten caught in a cross-fire. I've never been in a military gun battle, but I have been in a few police ones and chaos abounds. I would imagine it would be magnified when everyone is using fully automatic weapons, grenades, etc.

>>>>I'd say there is a pretty compelling evidence Tillman was killed by friendly fire. That happens. And I don't think I'd be very surprised that the Army covered it up. There is a long tradition in war-time of spinning that kind of stuff in a way that is considered favorable to advancing the mission. And if the spin holds, a Pat Tillman with a Silver Star dying a hero better advances the cause he enlisted to advance than a terrible tragedy in the chaos of battle. WWII is rife with incidents of friendly fire death that was never reported as such for 50 years. It was considered at the time that to do so would serve no purpose - though undoubtedly it effected those responsible and those who commanded those responsible very deeply.
