>>>>>>So the KC Chiefs will start their 16-0 season this evening by beating the Chargers tonight! gooooo Chiefs!
>>>>>
>>>>>And the Browns started their 15-1 season Sunday by lulling other teams to a false sense of confidence by throwing the game to the Bucs. Now we have everyone right where we want them - Bwahhahah ...
>>>>
>>>>hmmmm..well the Chiefs do that too - they toss the first 14 games to instill that false confidence...haha
>>>
>>>But Sunday at 1pm EST in Cleveland their strategies will clash. ( we want that #1 draft pick ) I seem to remember a card game - Hearts? - where the idea is to take all the tricks or ("Shoot the moon"?) *none* of the tricks.
>>>
>>>In football, seems if you're not going to win the superbowl you may as well go 0-16. Sam Bradford actually looked pretty good Sunday ...

>>Yeah, that worked out real well for you guys last time ; ). The number one pick seems like such a crap shoot. I think 3-5 is the sweet spot. Good talent available w/o the onus/expense of #1 overall.

>The steal of the most recent draft was Ndamakong Suh, who the Lions took (stole) at #2. You can't really criticize a team for taking an elite QB at #1 but Suh was off the charts according to every scout who evaluated him. He may be the best defensive lineman to enter the league in years. He played at Nebraska, a big time program, so it's not like he was doing it against podunks. He looked good against the Bears. He's starting already.

I've been a Husker fan even longer than I've been a Vikings fan. Lived in Lincoln for 5 years back in the 60s.

I don't think I've ever seen a better game for a defensive lineman than the Big 12 Championship game last year. Suh almost single handedly won that game for the Huskers. They look like they are on their way back under Pellini after the ill-advised Callahan experiment. They should have kept Pellini the first time around.
