>Lincecum: 14- 9, ERA of 3.60, 30 starts, 208 Ks, 70 BBs, WHIP 1.30, opponent BA .247
>Hamels: 11-10, ERA of 3.01, 30 starts, 201 Ks, 56 BBs, WHIP 1.16, opponent BA .233
Hamels has been having an awesome season, no doubt about it. His record is not an accurate indication of how well he has pitched. Who knew the Phillies were going to come down with a team case of cancer bats, especially when he pitches? It looks like they are finally coming around, starting to separate themselves from the Braves. We discussed before that Halladay, Oswalt, and Hamels is not a rotation anyone is going to want to face in the playoffs.
Another guy who has pitched great this year with no record to show for it is Felix Hernandez of the atrocious Mariners. The only team in baseball with a worse record is the Pirates.
11-11, 2.39 ERA, 214 Ks, 63 BB, WHIP 1.09, not sure about the opponent BA
