Hamels has been terrific.
BTW, I noticed an interesting stat the other day when Halladay pitched. It was his 30th start and his record was 17-10. (He won, so is now 18-10.) To have only two starts where he didn't get the decision is incredible. I wonder if there's anybody else with that kind of record this year. I'm not sure who leads in the fewest no-decisions, but I'm sure Halladay is near or at the top. For a National League pitcher to have that few NDs is astounding.
Only thing that concerns me about Cole is his durability. I know he's pumped up physically a bit , compared to 2 seasons ago when his durability was in question. His pitch counts get higher than Halladay's, to Charlie Manuel has to keep an eye on Cole. But yes, Cole has been terrific. Right now, over the last month, Cole has actually had the best stuff of any pitcher in the NL (even better than Halladay)
