>Good lord, Kevin, calm down. Your desire for reflected glory is a little pathetic.
>
>Would God have given up 10 hits in 6 innings? He got the win, true. It's not hard to get the win when your teammates score 10 runs. It was far from his best outing.
>
>I agree with you he is likely to win the Cy Young award. It's just curious that you thought this start was anything special.

>
>Mike, did you watch the game? (Yes or no).
>
>No, Halladay didn't have his best stuff last night....but he was never in serious trouble and won the game.
>
>By the time he took the mound, he had a 3-0 lead. By the bottom of the third, he had a 6-1 lead. By the bottom of the third, he had an 8-1 lead. Many starters relax a little with that kind of lead.
>
>Additionally, the Marlins were the victim's of Halladay's perfect game back in the late spring. That motivates players.
>
>8 of the 10 hits he surrendered were singles...some were good hits, some were little flares. He also struck out 9 in 6 innings and didn't walk a batter.
>
>Halladay's "off outings" are often still better than some of Lincecum's better starts.

I am not returning to the Halladay vs. Lincecum debate. My position all along has been that they are both great pitchers. Halladay is having a better season. (Continued debate deleted).

No, I did not watch the Phillies game last night.
