From others who had similar issues, at least, up until VS 2008, the build version increments once a day. But, the revision should increment every two seconds. In VS 2010, this has changed. At least, without having changed anything, this is what I have observed. The only way to force a new version is to change temporary to 1.0.0.0, build, change it back later to 1.0.* and build again.
