>>Think about it. OJ didn't really get away with it. Yes, he was found innocent in the criminal trial by a carefully chosen jury. Anyone who thinks trials can't be decided in the jury selection stage don't need to look any further. But anyone who watched any amount of that trial knows he did it. The evidence was overwhelming. His blood at the crime scene, the victims' blood in his car. Time, motive, opportunity.
>>
>>Still, he was transformed from an American idol to a pariah. Reportedly he can't even get golf partners. He's not behind bars but he is paying. Personally I can't imagine a much worse fate than being treated as a murderer everywhere you go when you were accustomed to being treated as a hero. Yes, he should be in prison, but his is a punishment cunning enough for the Greek gods.

>>He was convicted in the civil case. The last I heard he was not paying what he is supposed to, hiding out in Florida where they can't take your house.

It was pretty clear to anyone who followed the trial that Simpson's defense team was playing the race card from the word go. And the LAPD had enough skeletons in its closet in that area that a lot of people believed them.
