>The lyrics sites I found are filled with ads and I won't annoy you with those. The line I like best is "From Tuscon to Tucampari / Tehatcipi to Tonapah / Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made / Driven the back roads so I wouldn't get weighed" Those lyrics did not come from an idle mind. He died way too young.

>I particularly recommend the "Sailin' Shoes" and "Dixie Chicken" CDs. One song I have always loved, far from their best known, is late night music at its best -- "When You Go Down"

I wore out the vinyl of Waiting for Columbus ( probably while doing weed, whites and wine) and have bought the CD sets at least twice and now have them ripped onto my walkthing. I *never* get tired of the cut of Dixie Chicken on WFC ( even more than the eponymous album ) Some of Bill Payne's keyboard work just completely knocks me out.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
