>That is something I really do not get. IMO he is insightful and amiable. I hated to see Madden go but nothing lasts forever. I think Collinsworth brings the same attributes to his commentary. Namely, an insider's knowledge of the game, a willingness to criticize without getting personal about it, and knowing when to be quiet and let the play by play guy carry the load. As opposed to, say, Tony Kornheiser, who seems to believe we watch the game to hear his pearls of wisdom.

>>Really too bad that I'll miss that game. Can't stomach Cris Collinsworth.

>>>Tomorrow the Manning brothers meet for the first time in 4 years. I can't wait, who's your pick?

I'm with you on this one. Never miss Inside the NFL mostly for him.

Charles Hankey

- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin
