>- How is the display in a room where the light isn't very good?

The same as it would be for a book. The Kindle has no back-lighting like a PC, it uses ink technology ... the screen is not lit at all. So, just like a book, you need a light source to read. Now, there is a cover you can buy that has a built-in LED light and it's pretty much the same size as the cover without the light (you wouldn't notice the difference between the two covers unless you put them side-by-side). I decided to get that cover, because we read in bed every night and Gary usually goes to sleep before me. Now I don't have to worry about my reading light keeping him awake (it shines down on the Kindle). Anyway, it's pretty cool.

>- The Kindle has a web browser in it, right? How it it? Can it display sites that use Flash?

Yeah, it has a web browser. I only played with it a little bit yesterday (looked at Facebook and Amazon, that's it). It seems ok if you like surfing on small screens (I know, most everyone uses their phone for that nowadays ... I don't, so I can't even compare the experiences of phone vs Kindle ... sorry). I don't know about a Flash site ... give me a link to one and I'll check it out and see what happens.
