The "Mad Men" episodes are piling up on my recorder. I have all of them but one, when DirecTV had gone south, and have not watched any yet. Do you think it's keeping up the high standard? It's not unusual for even the best shows to drop off a bit after a few seasons.
The show's creator has said he intends to follow the characters through the 1960s. IMO the show works very well as a depiction of America in the early 1960s, on the hinge of change. Not so sure the hippie days would be so successful. If Don Draper has a fling with some free spirit from San Francisco and runs around in love beads I'm going to puke.
>I don't like Collinsworth voice. Instead of watching the Giants get torn apart tonight, I enjoyed a new episode of Mad Men and the premiere of Boardwalk Empire.

>>Agreed. IMO, he's the best color man in the business.

>>I agree, Troy Aik. is a great color man.

>>Did I read correctly in a prior post, that you don't like Collinsworth? He doesn't bother me "too" much. Yeah, once in a great while he gets a tad overbearing, but overall I don't mind him.

>>I am probably the only person in the world who misses the old ESPN Sunday night team ( Mike Patrick, Joe T, and Paul M). They were all overbearing and overly-analytical....but the formula just seemed to work.

>>I have to admit, initially I didn't like Mike Turico - but I've grown to like him.
