The Titanic simile might be a bit extreme.
There are lots of people making good money writing VFP and will continue to do so for a while. We have some customers running VFP apps that they love and we'll support them.
I look at .NET as an opportunity, not a lifeboat.
There's a strong and growing demand for it and now having become reasonably proficient with it, I think it's just a better way to develop programs.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
