I think Morse's character had a lot more back story in season one. Though I agree complex may be a little strong - or he's so good I just saw more complexity than is really there <g>

Yeah, Roger isn't there to be admired - or judged. Like all the Mad Men he is an imperfect man of his times - as are we all.
