>>Did you ever learn why it ended or find out (other than no response) that it definitely has ended?
If anybody does know, they're not saying. Some have suggested that the company is geeky to the point of being dysfunctional, others that it simply lacks customer focus, which would be a complete change from Samuel's earlier behavior, but there you are. Perhaps they have hit a snag and are too proud to admit it. Or perhaps there is some other explanation. This is not the first time I've seen a company with disruptive technology disappear suddenly without trace, unfortunately.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
