>>I know not everyone here likes President Obama or his policies. One thing I don't think anyone should say is he has avoided taking responsibility for wars he didn't start. He went along with the military when they argued for upping the ante in Afghanistan. He announced a timeline for getting out of Iraq and is sticking to it. He allows dead soldiers to come home with the respect they deserve instead of trying to hide it by dark of night. He did not create these messes but he is fulfilling his role as our leader. He is visibly aging in dog years and still keeps doing the job, what he believes are the right things. Anyone who spouts the nonsense about him not having character is in serious disagreement with me.

That's not such a bad record given the political scene and that every President takes office believing he can accomplish more than is actually possible.

Let's not forget he pushed through health care reform, even though it wasn't everything he wanted, something EVERY SINGLE President had vowed to do for nearly a century. He pushed through financial reform, even if it was again watered down. He's getting us out of Iraq. These are accomplishments. Let's see how it goes after the midterm elections.
