As you may know there is a nice, free utility Calibre which will convert epub and just about anything else to the MOBI format Kindle likes. PDFs seem to display better as pdf than after conversion, but this is a must for the epub format (lots of free stuff out there in epub)
$139 is definitely a winning price-point and I like this one a lot more than my sister's Kindle2.
I have been told you can use it as a browser - have you figured that out ?
