>The market is very different now than when the iPhone was introduced. MS has to compete against Apple and Google now. They need something to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. I don't think they've done that and are missing their window of opportunity.

>>NO CDMA phone hasn't hurt the IPhone one bit. It is still growing. MS has to concentrate on 1 core market at a time to be sucessful.
I disagree. They are targeting and have targeted a specific market segment. I have had the phone and used it now for 1 month and I no longer have any desire to use my IPhone.
I think with XBox LIVE and zune integration into one platform that they will have instant traction in the market place. I attended a tech event here in Philly this week, where MS presented their vision to a group of mobile developers. A large percentage were Android and IPhone developers. The interesting thing was that the interest and excitement on their part was palpable. They said they could produce the same apps in a fraction of the time and have the same level of support they enjoy now.
I think this platform is a marvelous stroke of ingenuity and will take the market by storm within the 1st year...
