I disagree. They are targeting and have targeted a specific market segment. I have had the phone and used it now for 1 month and I no longer have any desire to use my IPhone.
I think with XBox LIVE and zune integration into one platform that they will have instant traction in the market place. I attended a tech event here in Philly this week, where MS presented their vision to a group of mobile developers. A large percentage were Android and IPhone developers. The interesting thing was that the interest and excitement on their part was palpable. They said they could produce the same apps in a fraction of the time and have the same level of support they enjoy now.

I think this platform is a marvelous stroke of ingenuity and will take the market by storm within the 1st year...
