One possiblity is that you have config.fpw with SCREEN=OFF somewhere in the path of VFP (in the default directory). In addition, something else could have been messed up. Try deleting FoxUser.* files you can find and adjusting config.fpw first.

If this will not help, you may want to re-install VFP clean.
