>>>>>>The owner of the Segway company died Sunday in a freak accident when he rode one of his firm's two-wheeled scooters off a cliff and into a river, according to British press reports.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>He got transported in more ways than one. Or you might say he segued.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>What is going on over there?! First a musician gets killed by a rolling hay bale, now this.

>>>I thought so also, and posted it immediately after I came up with the altered lyrics. But I was a little bit afraid to post it since someone might find it offensive to make jokes about a tragic accident.
>>
>>Well, he was evidently a very good man and of course it is tragic - but funny is funny. I hope he would have had a laugh as well.

>This guy made his fortune when he invented a portable bomb proof wall for the Soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The sand barrier devices were earlier used for flood control. Mr. Heselden also made a lot of money selling them to mines. He started work as a coal miner himself so I'm sure the safety factor appealed to him as well as the money. The other thing I like is that he was a generous philanthropist. I was certainly not mocking him or saying it wasn't a tragedy. As Charles says, though, some stories have an innate humor to them. In the news business they are known as Man Bites Dog.
