Well, my grid base class handles the case you mention--since 3.0 didn't have allowaddnew. If MS did as you suggest, I'd be horrified because I generally really like to control what happens when a record is added.

AFAIC, there is no such thing as "intuitive." Except for once you've learned it is it easy to remember. Any degree of intuitive is relative...one of my users absolutely expects allowaddnew to operate as it does--she does (sort of) heads down data entry in a grid and naturally arrows down when she's done with a row. My other users who _don't_ do heads down entry don't have a clue they can do this--they click on an empty row. (BTW, that's not a really pleasing solution either, IMHO, but the users like it fine.)
