I think one of the really saddest things about the homophobia that has been so prevalent in our culture is that people can feel so isolated they fear just being discovered to be who they are.
If that had been a heterosexual encounter it is very doubtful there would have been a suicide - but if the kid was thinking clearly and that sick pair that tried to humiliate him had rich daddies, he'd be thinking about *owning* them.
