Speaking of "rocket exhaust"... one thing that always puzzled me (even though I was a kid) was the method of refueling the Batmobile. From dialog one would get the impression that the Batmobile was nuclear powered -- and that it was perhaps not unusual to think that you might connect the Batmobile to the main nuclear reactor in the Batcave. However, the puzzling bit (to me) was Batman would connect a fat hose to the tailpipe for refueling the Batmobile?!?

Perhaps it's too much to ask if this replica can perform the "emergency U-turn" ?

I wonder if there might be some crazy people who might think of converting one of these Batmobile replicas into a Lincoln Futura replica?


Yes... I must admit, when I saw a reissue of the plastic model kit of the Lincoln Futura, the first thought in my mind was to get it to convert into the 1960s TV Batmobile (considering that there have been numerous aftermarket detail kits made specifically for this).


Speaking of TV show cars... One thing that I never could figure out was the basis for the Black Beauty (Green Hornet's car). Found out it was a 1960s Chrysler Imperial. Interestingly enough, a late-1950s Chrysler Imperial was the basis for the TDF Pointer (car that appears in the UltraSeven TV series).
