Says you. That statement was entirely your opinion and not based in any way on law or fact. People have the right to excercise their right to pray, just as the other kids have the right to not join in.

If one player says "I'd like to have a prayer before we start" and 10 of the 20 kids say "sure why not" and the other 10 opt out, no one's rights were violated, and in no way is it inappropriate.

If the coach had said, "Pray or you can't play", then rights were violated. Any talk of inappropriateness is entirely opinion and not relevant.
