>>Family of Medal of Honor recipient Vernon Baker was denied access to the White House's West Wing on Saturday, a day after the World War II hero was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
>>
>>Baker's widow, Heidy, and grandson, Vernon Pawlik, 10, were denied entry because the boy was wearing shorts and a T-shirt. His shirt had a picture of his grandfather on it.
>>
>>A White House Web site doesn't list a dress code, but the family had been invited to tour the West Wing, which houses the president's office and where casual dress is prohibited.

>They would represent honor which would certainly be out of place at the current White House.

Bill, can you discuss a situation at the white house, with the current administration, or with the President without only providing a disparaging remark? Really, there are questions:

1) was the family notified of the dress requirements when they were invited to tour the west wing?
2) is it an acknowledged policy that is enforced for all visitors and during all previous administrations?
3) was the family upset or is the media jumping on this and making it an issue when it was not for the family?
