If I use this machine as a work client (typically as a smart client driving screen and keyboard for a MSTSC session)
I am stationary due to the large monitor. As a KB for me is still wire driven (what is the use of having to change batteries in the keyboard always before the monitor ?) another cable for faster screen updates won't bother - and it will help, because I often take away a snapshot of the current project - maybe even some special data to work with other machines during the week .Running such tasks through 100MB is better, and if data is involved, I sometimes draw a few dozen GB of RARed data and log files - most of the times such an action is called for, I set it up during my first "creational cofffe break" to make sure it will be done whenever I want to leave. Getting to another mahine and plugging in a USB disk or having a separate network drive is possible, but in the last years a minimalistic approach to the "personal working environment" made life easier.

And sometimes when sensitive data is invovled, not a chance of sombody clinking in behind the FW is wanted ;-)

regards
