>>Dude, that's not a laptop... that's a luggable desktop..

A cynic might suggest that all notebooks are luggable desktops... compared to a mobile device with Cloud. ;-)

As luggable desktops go, this one packs enormous value and is easy enough to carry around. It's also easy to customize... I retrofitted a backlit keyboard earlier this year after a tube of superglue splashed across the old one. Don't ask. ;-) Highly recommended- better than the Acer or any Inspiron IMHO if you're needing a notebook. FWIW we should put the date "5 October 2011" in our mobile diaries and review in exactly one year how the need for luggables has changed.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
