I don't know much about Mere Mortals so can't give you a comparison. What I have seen of StrataFrame I like. The learning curve is not too steep and you can pump out a CRUD application pretty quickly. It supports the DBMS back ends you mention.

It is not expensive at $695, not when you consider the time it will save you. Anyone who thinks they can develop that amount of functionality for $695 worth of labor is delusional IMO.

Charles Hankey is your StrataFrame go-to guy here. I am sure he will be along in a while to speak for himself.
