>>>That's at least 4 hours of true battery live unlike others that advertise more while the unit sits there doing little. The two guys who have the prototypes claim 5+ depending on what they're doing with it. From what I understand, the iPad has higher life because it isn't doing as much (i.e., multitasking). I expect to see that 10hours drop when Apple adds multitasking.

>>Comparison against netbooks with nearly the same HW basis worries me: either the touchscreen sucks up energy or the OS / Exo front is rather hungry [and yes, it is prototype stage...] Atom netbooks with 10' get 8-10H, some 11' HDMI sporting nVidia plus HDMI 6-9H [possibly WiFi disabled, but not sure]. Another plus for LAN sockets...

>Battery life numbers are rather iffy but ExoPC says minimum 4 hours. It all depends on what you're doing to drain the battery. We'll have to see if the final production units are any better.

Full ACK, just wanted to point out the ***for me*** relevant comparison. I even think just having a LAN cable - some can carry minimal current) or USB to LAN connection while drawing some power on a long cable a nice scenario for single machine households, as you always find it, even under stacks of paper ;-)
As I have some tiger tendencies when thinking, for such scenarios a Pad running Windoze makes some sense for me - even if the lure of MS OS has lessened markedly in the last few years.
