OK, my bad - given the theme of my message, pretty stupid of me not to spot that.

Honor could mean regular honor, distinguished honor....could be a mix of A's and B's....but granted, this kid is then obviously not a dullard.

However, the people who ARE idiots are those taking actions that have led to her being out of school for several weeks in a row.
