Why Strataframe would break I don't know, unless it was not compatible with any version of Vista or Win7 (with UAC turned on). Strataframe shouldn't be using any low level drivers AFAIK. If it was an XP version then it may very well be doing things under Program Files that Vista and 7 wouldn't accept (which is annoying).

I'm not familiar with Backup4All, but if it is a local windows app I could see that it may need updated File System or HD driver to function.
