Absolutely a great movie. There was some reflexive resistance due to its popularity but the fact is it appealed to moviegoers for good reasons. All the Oscars were just the tip of the iceberg (sorry). It broke box office records not only in the U.S. but in countries around the world. England, over $100 million. Japan, over $100 million, a weeks long waiting list to get into theaters showing it. This is the one I am going to rewatch first. Almost all of us have our romantic sides.
I was going to include "The Lake House" on my list just to annoy you ;-)
