This is not to bob really just to the thread.
I program in all the languages but VC, VB, and VFP are the core. I like VB for non DB stuff. But NO ONE, ANYWHERE can dispute the ease and elegance of the following:
SKIP
If VB (or even VC) could acomplish this and other database operations equally as perfect yet too numerous to list (out of the box) then it might make a run for more of my attention. I have developed an entire enterprise applications in both VB and VFP. Given my druthers, I would rather write in VFP and overcome its shortcommings by writeing a VC dll or ocx and make an overall better product.
My VFP Wishlist: Compiler Optimizations.
As an aside, if VFP was not sticking around there wouldnt be a 6.0 :) hey, remember when there wasnt going to be a windows version? Or a visual version, or a 5.0, 6.0.....
forgive my poor grammer and spelling.

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animated contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsel or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
