That's true, Mike but most users love spreadsheets and the grid is the closest thing we have to one and they prefer to do columnar data entry that way if there are several rows to be entered, so I've learned to bite the bullet and do it their way.
One of my bosses used to say that sooner or later the users will get what the want.
They'll get it from you or they'll get if from someone else, so you might as well let it be you.
