To your co-worker, Delphi is a more powerful langauge - because he knows Delphi. Does he know VFP, or VB for that matter? The point is that whether a toolset is powerful or not depends upon both your frame of reference and the feature set of the language. Other folks could easily arguments as to why they use VB over other langauges. Others can make great arguments for VFP, Delphi, or PowerBuilder for that matter. They are all RAD Tools - each with thier own relative strengths and weaknesses.
