>Hello,

I usually use a 10 char field and strip out all special characters on the application side for US phone numbers. I've never worked with international phone numbers before. What's a good standard way of storing them?

Upgrade to 20 Chars at least
(you can run into 13 digits on single lines, extension numbers are usually 4 digits, but have short numbers... leave headroom)
keep the originating data for checks
go for 4 to 6 columns (country, prefix [might split into cell and area] city, phone, extension and perhaps another column indicating other usages like fax)
