>>>I don't have enough information about these positions to post in the jobs section, nor am I the person to contact. Will post it here anyway for the benefit of anyone who may be looking for work. This is what I received from a recruiter who saw my resume on dice.com. He said the client is a large financial services company. They have hired six people already and are looking for six more. What follows is the info I received from him ---

>>>At least 8 years experience in FoxPro development (both DOS and Windows versions) in maintaining legacy code and new development.

>You're kidding right? There's no reason a financial app written in Foxbase and/or Fox Windows or VFP shouldn't be just as reliable as any other development tool. I've seen numerous financial industry apps (in top 100 businesses) written in some version of Foxpro....

Dow Jones analysis division has been running on Fox ( VFE ) for a long time... albeit SQL data store. They are transitioning to .NET ( Strataframe )

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
