The other day I saw another app in a shop (selling heating devices) which uses output into a textfile as a searchable list - the way we did it 20 years ago. And, lo and behold, it's displayed and searched by disp.com, which is a hack of Dave Buerg's list.com (the hack being actually a translation into Serbian), which IS 20+ years old, and the guy who did it was my CEO at the time. I didn't stay long enough to see the rest, but my bet is that it either runs on FPD2.6 from 1994 or mFoxPlus from 1988. The monitor was flat, the keyboard slim, mouse optical... everything latest crop, except the software.
