I understand from your post that you read message#13?

The fella that posted the first message is far too stupid to be a pilot :o) I agree with his concerns regarding the scanner, but the manner in which he dealt with the situation leaves me concerned about him being behind the controls of an airplane carrying over 100 passengers.

FWIW, I find it amazing that the full body scanner has been implemented without a separate method of screening pilots (have to admit that it's not that difficult to dress up like a pilot and get the appropriate ids if you wanted to though so the uniform and id is not a guarantee the guy is really a pilot who has been vetted).

Sheesh, even our military can't vet folks sufficiently (look at Major Nidal Hasan)

When did a pat down get required at all for every person? Suddenly, if you refuse the full body scanner, it requires a pat -down? At airports without the full body scanner only sporadic customers were selected for a pat-down.
