IMO the spirit of anti-discrimination laws is aimed at institutions, not individuals. If someone considers X very important to them (doesn't matter what it is, could be religion or anything else) and is looking for another individual to share an apartment with them, I don't have any problem at all with them specifying that. This is completely different from a company saying we won't hire non-Christians or a bus line saying non-whites have to sit in the back.
I must be in a good mood, I'm agreeing with Bill and Fox News at the same time ;-)
