I've been told an alternate connection string would be:

Driver={Oracle ODBC Driver}; Dbq=myDBName; Uid=xxxxx; Pwd=xxxxx

For this syntax, is Dbq the Oracle Database name? Are there other parameters needed? Where is the Server Name defined?
