"Alarmists" is just one of the attributes. But looking at the sources, yes it's them. And Wikipedia too, was slowly taken over by those who can finance hundreds or thousands of idle writers which will engage in disputes and fix the reality to fit whichever agenda they are paid to push. Both degrowth and sustainable development start from the premise of population explosion... which wasn't yet proven to my satisfaction. Propaganda is out there, but actual data are hard to find.
