Okay, lets see if I have this right: It seems there is a need to change "BoundTo" to .T. for the cbo, and assure that the controlsource is my master table's field. Then the moving pointer will be in the picklist/cursor (rowsource) of the cbo but not the record pointer in the master table, as I have been experiencing. If that's true, my problems will be over soon.

Note: These are all free FP-2.6 tables, no DBC.

The reason I interpreted Ed's message as referring to moving in the *master* table, is that *that* seems to be what is happening, and I also just saw a similar problem in another thread (form refresh throws record pointer to eof - #139065), which I plan to explore a little also.

Thanx all for your help and comments so far. I will let you know the outcome...
