Several options:

For a start, you may want to read my introductory article on Excel Automation.

You can get the basic syntax of a command (as explained in my article) by saving a macro. If you click on a command in the saved macro and press F1, you can get additional information on the command (if VBA help is properly installed).

Most of the time, saving a macro is enough to figure out the syntax.

More detailed information is available here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa272254(v=office.11).aspx

You may want to get the book on automation by Tamar Granor and ... ??? (I keep forgetting the other name).

You can ask specific questions here on the Universal Thread or on other online forums.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
