That's true. It's a catch-22/

>How about Oklahoma, Oregon twice, Oregon State, Virgina Tech. Would be nice if other major conference teams would agree to play BSU but I think they are afraid. Remember the Fiesta bowl last year was between TCU and BSU. They don't want the smaller schools to crash their program.
>
>>You don't need to be offended. I realize these are local teams for you.
>>
>>Remind me which major conference teams Boise State has beaten? An unfair question because you can't beat teams you don't play. Personally I won't take them seriously until they join a real conference. At this point they're a man bites dog story, a team that plays on a blue field somewhere in the wilderness.
>>
>>>OK, I'm offended by that. My team, Utah State, plays in the same conference as Boise State. Granted, the WAC isn't that great and USU has sucked for years, but after Boise, most of the league is competitive with each other.
>>>
>>>Now, having said that, Boise State will be joining the Mountain West next year, but both Utah and BYU are leaving the MWC, so other than TCU, Boise still won't have any real competition.
>>>
>>>FYI, Boise gets the attention is does because it wasn't that long ago it was a JUCO, then a member of the Big Sky (was Division II, now FCS conference). Boise's success in major bowl games shows it's a great program.

>>>>Boise State may deserve their high ranking. I am all for the underdog. But if they want everyone to believe in them they should join a real conference and play real teams.
