I was happy to read your statement on VFP being slow, but not too
slow. I feel a little easier about this already. Do you know what
the speed of your citrix connection is? We intend to connect
at 64K & 128K via ISDN.

>>I wouldn't expect signifigant improvement in VFP 6.0. It still uses bitmaps instead of real Windows controls making screen updates much smaller. I ran into another problem with Metaframe. Using a certain protocol (I can't remember what it's called, but it's not available with just Terminal Server) VFP had trouble processing double clicks. If the clicks were too close together the second one would get lost. This didn't happen with other Windows apps.

>>I think you'll just have to test it to see if your apps are fast enough over whatever connection you're using. My problems were over a fairly slow trans-atlantic leased line.
>>
>>>Has anyone tried using Citrix Metaframe or (Winframe) with VFP 6.0.
>>>I've heard that VFP 5.0 performs poorly with Citrix due to poor
>>>screen refreshing, but I'm hoping things are better with VFP 6.0
>>>Any news on this would be much appreciated as we are about to use
>>>VFP/Citrix in 50 - 60 sites.

>We use Citrix with a VFP5 app and yes, it's slow, but not too slow. I'd be happy to let you connect to our demo server if you'd like to check it out. Email me offline.

>And the double-click thing was a problem with VFP3 not VFP5. In 3 you had to add an extra click for anything you wanted to do.
